About the presenter:
Born in Rosenberg/OS on 1st April, 1965, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Richard Degenhardt completed his civil engineering studies at the TU Braunschweig in 1990. He obtained a doctorate in 1996 from the Institute for Applied Mechanics at the TU Braunschweig on the subject of "Non-linear dynamic structure problems and interaction with the foundation ground". From the period of 1996-2000, he was a stress analyst for Ingenieurbüro J. Behrens in Wolfenbüttel. From 2000 onwards, he was a researcher at the German Aerospace Centre's Institute of Composite Structures and Adaptive Systems in Braunschweig. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Richard Degenhardt was also the Head of the "Stability of Fibre Composites" research group. Since January 2008, he is a professor at the PFH Private University of Applied Sciences and since 2019 - honorary professor for Structural Mechanics of Fibre Composites in the Aerospace at the University Bremen.
